We are pleased to announce that The Second To The Last Supper has been acquired by the Yuko Nii Foundation. We are delighted to have another one of Compo’s paintings included in the foundations collection and greatly admire all the work Yuko Nii does in supporting arts and culture. Check out the Yuko Nii Foundation here.
The Second to The Last Supper (2025), Oil on Canvas, 140 x 56”. Yuko Nii Foundation, Brooklyn.
“Jesus is sitting peacefully by a river holding a version of the world in his hands while meditating. He is contemplating the whole water-into-wine trick as his followers gather around him and within him. Above him appears a vision of how an artist would portray and interpret the next evening’s supper fifteen centuries into the future.”
Before being acquired by the Yuko Nii Foundation, the painting was featured in “The 26th Annual WAH Salon Show” at the Williamsburg Art & Historical Center, Brooklyn, NY in 2025. The oeuvre was also displayed in Compo’s 2023 solo show “Objects in The Mirror” at Pictor Gallery Landmark Arts Building, New York, NY.
Compo is the featured artist and guest judge at Art Alliance of Monmouth’s shows “Things I Didn’t Know I Love” and “Edibles”. He had an artist talk June 7th delving into his artistic practice. His paintings Running Out of Time, Pick a Card Any Card and Two Scoundrels Disguised As Nuns Hide A Pot Of Gold In A Fishbowl are on display in the window exhibition.
